If you're like we are, there is a good chance that you've left your drop bags plenty of times. Freezer grade zip locks work pretty good, but sometimes you need a bigger option. So we had some made up custom that are 16" Wide x 20" Tall and made of a 5 Mil, LDPE, orange transparent plastic. Plus you have your name, bib, checkpoint, and event areas on the bag for easy fill in too.
LOVE this bag!
Heavier than a ziploc, easy to see in a pile, and reusable..love this bag!
Sturdy bags -- shipped promptly!
Great product and company -- will use them again!
Used these for the Antelope Canyon 55k, my very first Ultramarathon. They worked great! Heavy duty material, large enough to hold basically anything you’d need. Easy to spot at the drop bag location. Nice seal! Highly recommend and will use again.
OMG Where have these BEEN all my life?!
I found these completely by [extremely happy] accident when searching online to see what others used as drop bags. I ordered three. Then I ordered more for future races.
When I got them and more so after using them, I was really surprised at how strong and durable they are. The seal works great and for the price I thought they would be one time use bags and I was happy with that. Hence the additional purchases. Drop bags can take a real run through the meat grinder. They get hauled around, left outside in the elements - sometimes overnight the night before - and if you've used drop bags, you know that when your hands are tired and you just want to get stuff out and deposit items, they get a bit of man-handling. Well, mine have been through all that and they are still good as new. I will give the additional ones I bought as gifts. I also ordered Orange Mud stickers to personalize mine. I think every runner needing a drop bag should have one of these. But don't steal my sticker idea if you're running a race I'm in. Please ;)
Seriously, I am really impressed.
If I made a suggestion for an 'upgraded' drop bag, I'd suggest a little foldover flap over the lock seal strip for additional protection in severe weather. Not due to the bag or its construction, but just down to the real life after so many hours, I was fumbling a bit and a little careless in closing them properly because my fingers didn't wanna play the way I they do on non ultra running days.
