If you're like we are, there is a good chance that you've left your drop bags plenty of times. Freezer grade zip locks work pretty good, but sometimes you need a bigger option. So we had some made up custom that are 16" Wide x 20" Tall and made of a 5 Mil, LDPE, orange transparent plastic. Plus you have your name, bib, checkpoint, and event areas on the bag for easy fill in too.

Awesome Drop Bag

I didn’t want to spend a lot for a drop bag but wanted one that is really visible and spacious. This bag was perfect. I plan on using it in Leadville this summer. I bought my buddy one too (I liked it so much).

You get what you pay for

This drop bag is an inexpensive way to put your stuff in a drop area that will most likely stand out (because it's orange), it will be labeled and most likely keep your stuff dry. BUT it's basically a giant ziplock bag so do not expect a high quality drop bag. On the other hand, I'm not sure you NEED a high quality item for this purpose. I'll be happy to use it at my next Ultra.

Orange Mud Canada

Thanks Julie! I hope you agree that this is a much heavier grade than even a freezer grade ziplock. We were very particular in choosing the materials as we want it to not only be waterproof, but hold up and be used for more than one race. Plus for $4 it's oversized an has a great zip!

Lovely Race Drop Bag

I heard these bags would be good for my first ultra (hello dirty 30!) and they were! I didn’t end up dropping my bags but still filled it for post race needs (plate, utensils, hat, etc) and then I carried it around post race. It served as a bag to carry race swag and my new pint glass too. Overall, it was really nice knowing that I had a durable bag that was easily identifiable for when I needed it most.

Best Drop Bag You're Likely to Find

I don't typically use drop bags, but purchased this one since I was having foot issues leading up to this year's Strolling Jim 40 and figured a place to store a more cushioned pair of back up shoes couldn't hurt. A sage decision, that. The bag saved me some time as it was easy to find, considering its bright orange color and areas for identification, including: name of racer and race, bib number, drop point. The seal was robust and kept out the rain (which was substantial for a few hours) and held quite a bit of items with room to spare (size 10 Hoka Cliftons, shite-load of gels, anti-chafe ointment, socks, first-aid odds and ends, hat, shorts, tank, etc.). Nothing pointy was within, but the bag seems up to the task, so long as the object is something relatively reasonable. Good bag and reusable, to boot. Can't go wrong with this one.
